Personal Biography
Jason Doescher, MD, is board certified in both pediatric neurology and epilepsy. Through his practice with the Minnesota Epilepsy Group he focuses his comprehensive approach on patients with "spells, seizures, and epilepsy." He provides diagnostic, therapeutic and educational service in both the outpatient clinic and on the Pediatric Epilepsy Unit at Children's of Minnesota. A graduate of Creighton University and the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, he completed a pediatrics residency at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and continued in pediatric neurology at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at the University of Minnesota in conjunction with the Minnesota Epilepsy Group. Dr. Doescher cares for infants, children and young adults and manages the spectrum of seizure disorders. His interests include spell characterization, first/new onset seizure, epilepsy management, and coordination of epilepsy surgery. Additional interests include febrile seizures, ketogenic diet, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and epileptic encephalopathies such as Landau-Kleffner syndrome. He contributes to the magnetoencephalography program defining epileptogenic foci and functional mapping. He has lectured nationally on the spectrum of epilepsy and contributes locally to the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota.
