Personal Biography

Kate Zelic, PhD, LP, is a clinical psychologist at Childrens Minnesota. She earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology and Communication Studies from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Kent State University in Kent, OH. She went on to complete her one-year pre-doctoral clinical internship at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Following her internship, Dr. Zelic finished a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in medical psychology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where she was also an assistant professor of psychology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Dr. Zelic provides outpatient therapy and assessment services in the outpatient psychology clinic to children and adolescents with a broad range of presenting concerns. She also works with medical inpatients and their families through the psychology consultation-liaison service, as well as supervises trainees on this service. She has particular interest and specialized training in assessment and intervention for mood disorders. Dr. Zelic is committed to providing evidence-based treatment for her patients, utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, behavioral interventions, and integrative medicine approaches.
