Personal Biography

Michelle moved back to the Midwest and joined the team at Children's Minnesota in 2021 after spending a few years living in New York. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband and her dog. Michelle's passion for treating patients with diabetes stems from her personal connection to the disease. She has been involved in diabetes camps and the JDRF throughout her life. In 2019, she had the opportunity to move her career into diabetes care and has loved having the opportunity to work with patients with diabetes and their families. She has an academic interest in diabetes technology, care delivery quality improvement, and working on building resilience and independence as children and adolescents grow. She is Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management and is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.
