Personal Biography

Personal Information: I grew up in Chatfield, MN which is a small town just south of Rochester, Minnesota. My love of the pediatric cardiac patient started in my first year of nursing at the University of Iowa Childrens Hospital. The complexity and challenging physiology of the patients, as well as the instant gratification, and the impact of care has potential to affect and influence the entire normal lifespan. Also, the use of specialized equipment, and technology advancements has cemented my love for pediatric cardiac patients. I played both college basketball and baseball. I married my wife, Becky, in 2016. She is a pediatric nurse as well who loves the intensive care unit. We have a dog, Poppi, who is a boxer. In my off time I love to do crossfit, hike, and spend time with family and friends. If I am at home, I am often watching the Twins, or college sports.
