Children’s Minnesota recently joined together with 29 other health service providers and health care stakeholders throughout Minnesota to pledge to eliminate systemic racism and its negative impact on health and well-being.

Dr. Aimee Sznewajs, director of pediatric hospital medicine at Children’s Minnesota, presented at Grand Rounds for Allina’s regional hospitals and clinics on Wed., September 16: “COVID-19 and kids: Where we are today.”
David Gregornik, BS, PharmD, BCOP, Director, Pharmacogenomics Program, presented and moderated a panel discussion at the University of Minnesota Biennial Pharmacogenomics Conference. The event was held on Sept. 10-11 and focused on practical considerations for the implementation of pharmacogenomics into clinical care.
Children’s Minnesota was excited to partner with Minneapolis and St. Paul public schools to offer two education sessions to school nurses. The goal of these two virtual events was to prepare school nurses to care for their students both mentally and physically as they start the school year during the COVID pandemic.
Children’s Minnesota is proud to congratulate 161 physicians who were recognized as 2020 Top Doctors by Minnesota Monthly magazine. The 2020 list includes more than 900 physicians from the Twin Cities in 70 specialties.
The pharmacogenomics program at Children’s Minnesota utilizes molecular testing to analyze genes in order to understand how a patient will metabolize medications.
