Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn. – (Nov. 13, 2017) – Children’s Minnesota (Children’s) is pleased to announce Marc Gorelick, MD, as its new chief executive officer (CEO). This news comes on the heels of current Children’s CEO Bob Bonar’s announcement that he intends to retire on Dec. 8, 2017. Since joining Children’s in 2014, Bonar has championed a more collaborative system of care for children and families in our region – to improve access, quality and value – and has been focused on bridging relationships with health systems sharing this same spirit.
MINNEAPOLIS – (October 24, 2017) – In the Twin Cities, 14.3 percent of children have been diagnosed with asthma, creating ongoing health challenges for many youth. Kohl’s donation of $500,000 over the next two years has been awarded to Children’s Minnesota to help kids better control their asthma and provide supportive resources to area schools.

MINNEAPOLIS – (July 7, 2017) – Children’s Minnesota (Children’s) and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) have reached agreement on a contract that will keep Children’s hospitals and clinics in the Blue Cross provider network. The previous contract expired at midnight on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.
