‘Code Orange’ Drill a Success!

On Saturday 6/23 in St. Paul, and Wednesday 7/11 in Minneapolis, Emergency Preparedness exercises were held at Children’s.
The drills required volunteer participants to act as ‘victims’ in a disastrous situation, allowing staff to practice procedures in case of a real-life situation!

Last night, the situation (in Minneapolis) was that a freight train carrying chemicals, collided with the lightrail carrying kids and families on their
way to the Twins Game. Many were seriously injured, others scared, and some exposed to ammonia chemicals needed decontamination!

A special thank you to those volunteers who brought their acting skills and participated in the St. Paul and/or Minneapolis E.D. Preparedness exercise!
