Run, bike or tri for the most amazing people on earth

Team Superstars is all about going the extra mile for the most amazing people on earth. As one of our charity athletes, you commit to raising a generous amount of money to support the care programs at Children’s Minnesota—and in return, you get the joy of knowing you are truly making a difference in the lives of kids. Of course, you also get the endorphin rush from the race itself, whether you’re on two wheels or your own two feet.

Team incentives

Team Superstars athletes have the opportunity to secure guaranteed race entries for lottery-based races such as the TC 10 Mile and Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon. You’ll receive exclusive Children’s race apparel, a personal fundraising website along with fundraising coaching, a race training plan, and an invitation to a team reception and celebration.

“Running as a member of Team Superstars for Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota is more rewarding than any first-place finish. You’re helping kids, which means you’ve already won.” — Jimmy, former Children’s employee

“Running for Team Superstars was an inspirational experience. As a Children’s RN, I have the privilege of taking care of amazing kids every single day and as I work with these kids, they remind me of how important it is to love, live, persevere, and to not take life for granted. Taking care of kids with cancer, I have learned how to run a marathon — take it one step at a time — one foot in front of the other —  as most of the kids with cancer do throughout their treatment. It was a pleasure to run for such an amazing cause that is near and dear to my heart!” — Jess, Children’s employee, RN, BSN, CPHON

“Running the Twin Cities Marathon and raising money for Children’s Minnesota was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I had trained for and run a few marathons before but none with the added motivation of my commitment to Children’s. The fundraising aspect was way out of my comfort zone but turned out to be a great opportunity for personal growth. I highly recommend this  to anyone considering it. And by the way, the support from Children’s was awesome.” — Ralph, patient’s grandfather

“When Children’s announced Team Superstars’ involvement with Twin Cities Marathon, I was thrilled. I had run in other events and fundraisers, but I really wanted to focus my efforts for Children’s. Our son Sam had extraordinary care from extraordinary clinicians there. I challenged myself to go the 26.2 miles (with Brady’s help, because there were limited spots for the 10-mile). With great support from Children’s Foundation through ongoing news and email updates, as well as supported runs from Mill City Running, we made it to the starting line. On Oct. 4 after more than five hours, I crossed the finish line. If you don’t try, how will you ever know?  This was how Sam lived his life. He taught me well. So I tried. I trained, cried, and shouted for joy when I crossed the finish line. It was so amazing. The 26.2 miles were a physical and emotional journey for me. I know that Sam was proud. I tried and found out that I could do it…that we could do it together. Team Superstars rocks. Join the team and help to ensure a great future for our amazing kids.” — Muffy, patient’s mom
