Children’s Minnesota at Wordplay
Children’s Minnesota is excited to be a part of The Loft’s Wordplay to celebrate and promote the joy of reading. Wordplay aims to be the state’s biggest-ever celebration of readers, writers and great books. The event will feature several famous authors including Stephen King, Mitch Albom, Amy Tan, Dave Barry, Bill McKibben, Tommy Orange, Jared Diamond, and many others.
The weekend will include readings, kids’ activities, conversations, workshops, and more! The Children’s Minnesota Stage will feature story times with several authors – from picture books to young adult books. Children’s will have many fun activities near the Children’s Minnesota Stage throughout the event, including:
- Decorate your very own book bag.
- Take your photo at the photo selfie station with fun props.
- Share what “amazing” means to you by drawing or writing on our big banner.
- Meet Twinkle, the Children’s Minnesota mascot (during select times).
- Get a sparkly glitter temporary tattoo.
