Everyday Ethics Simulation: Practicing Difficult Conversations

This 1.5 day course, presented by the Simulation Program and Clinical Ethics Department, will provide interactive practice of difficult conversations in the adult, pediatric, and neonatal health care setting, with a focus on providing practical tips and opportunities for coached practice.

Objectives:

1. Learners will gain knowledge around specific evidence-based language to use during difficult conversations in various settings using the ethics principles as a conceptual framework.
2. Learners will practice having difficult conversation.
3. Learners will receive real time feedback from a coach as well as a standardized patient.
