National peer-reviewed guidelines have been customized to warn providers when using drugs Allopurinol, Abacavir, Carbamazepine and Oxcarbazepine. Patients with positive HLA-B *15:02, *57:01, *58:01 and/or HLA-A *31:01 genetic results may experience severe cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions. Alerts have been created to help guide providers.
