This course is designed to provide participants with an overview of nursing issues involved in caring for children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and blood disorders. Common pediatric hematologic and oncologic diagnoses are presented, along with treatment approaches, nursing care, and supportive care principles. Case studies providing clinical scenarios are included to enhance the learning process. This course will also be appropriate for preparation to take the CPHON certification exam.
