Star Gala inspires donations to support life-saving critical resources for Children’s Minnesota neonatology program

After a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, generous donors returned for one of the most impactful philanthropic events in the Twin Cities – the Children’s Minnesota Star Gala. The 30th annual Star Gala benefited the Children’s Minnesota neonatology program, which cares for more newborns than any other program in the region.

Children’s Hospital Association Happy Hour Event

April 7, 2022, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., St. Paul

This event is exclusive to special guests, as well as our current Leadership Circle members, a group of caring individuals who know how vital excellence in pediatric care is to our community and commit annually to giving $3,000+ to CHA, to support programs and services at Children’s Minnesota.

Minnesota Wild fanatic and patient gets ultimate game experience

Jack, who is Minnesota Wild fanatic, got a major boost to his spirit when he got to skate on the ice as the Wild’s flag bearer the same night the team retired Mikko Koivu’s #9 jersey.

One family turns heartbreak into giving back

Vanessa was born with hydrocephalus, and because of that, she spent a lot of her life receiving care at Children’s Minnesota. At age 12, Vanessa sadly passed away. In her honor, hundreds showed up to shop for donations for Children's Minnesota.

Nora’s legacy: family honors memory of daughter by giving back

No parents expect to lose one of their children. But out of all the sadness, Kelly and John want to bring good in their daughter Nora’s name. “We were one of those families in the PICU. They are having to make some of the toughest decisions in their lives. This is our chance to let them know they are not alone.”

Mary Kate’s amazing care inspires her family to give back

Mary Kate was born with Down syndrome and a heart defect. Because of the care she received at Children's Minnesota, her family decided to provide a generous match of $10,000 on Give to Kids Day on Dec. 9, 2021.

Eight neurosurgeries by age 3; Xenia’s family is grateful to be at Children’s Minnesota

At only 3 years old, Xenia has required multiple surgeries, including many neurosurgeries. Though there had been some challenges in her case, Xenia's family says they could not have asked for a more compassionate and empathetic team at Children's Minnesota.

Community Connect helps families find critical resources and thrive

At Children’s Minnesota, we know that good health requires more than good health care. In fact, 80% of a child’s health is tied to where they live, learn and play. That’s why we have the Community Connect program. The program helps connect families in our Minneapolis and St. Paul Primary Care Clinics to existing community resources.
