What to expect

At Children’s Minnesota, we feel fortunate to be a part of so many kids’ lives. The pulmonology and respiratory team cares for thousands of children each year in our inpatient and outpatient settings. Every patient is special to us.

Meet the Team

The pulmonary and respiratory team at Children’s Minnesota is nationally recognized. We specialize in diagnosing, treating and managing any problem that affects a child’s breathing. The physicians from Children’s and Children's Respiratory & Critical Care Specialists have received years of special training in lung and respiratory care.

Outcomes and Research

Choosing where to bring your child for care is a major decision. You need all the information you can get. We know you want it in a clear, straightforward form that helps you make the right choice for your family.

Conditions and Services

We treat patients with both acute and chronic breathing problems in the Children’s Minnesota pulmonology and respiratory medicine program. Our asthma clinic is the largest pediatric asthma center in the state. Our Cystic Fibrosis Center – where kids with CF, a pulmonary related condition are seen, is in the top tier of cystic fibrosis centers in the Midwest. We’ve even been accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as a Translational and Therapeutics Development Center. That means we are able to offer leading-edge clinical trial drugs to patients.

Pulmonary & Respiratory Program

The pediatric pulmonology and respiratory medicine program at Children’s Minnesota gives children the breath of life — literally. We help children with chronic and acute lung problems breathe easier using the newest, most effective treatments. We're there with them every step of the way.
