Flu vaccine clinics

One of the best ways to become a flu fighter is to vaccinate for stronger kids. The flu vaccine is 70 to 90 percent effective in preventing influenza. Due to ineffective results, infection prevention experts recommend no FluMist nasal spray this year – only flu shot. Fortunately, there are simple tactics that you can use to help reduce needle pain.

Children’s encourages everyone 6 months of age and older to get vaccinated against influenza.  Children’s offers several ways for your child to get vaccinated, including our primary care clinics, locations throughout the state and school clinics provided through our partnership with Kohl’s Cares.

Kohl’s Cares and Children’s School clinics

As part of the Kohl’s Cares and Children’s Flu Prevention Project, area schools in Minneapolis and St. Paul have the opportunity to host flu vaccine clinics for students and their families throughout the months of September through December.

If your school is interested in setting up a flu vaccine clinic this year, please contact Kathy Como-Sabetti at 651-220-5555.
