The Center for the Treatment of Eating Disorders (CTED) at Children’s Minnesota was established in 2011. We care for children, teens, and young adults with eating disorders, providing support every step of the way. Our team of specialists creates a personalized treatment plan for each patient, using proven, evidence-based care to meet their unique needs.
We are located at Children’s Minnesota – St. Paul, where we offer both inpatient medical stabilization and outpatient therapy for ongoing care. View our locations and contact us.

We use evidence-based treatments to treat eating disorders
Our team has received specialized training in the core treatments for eating disorders. These treatments include:
- Family-Based Treatment (FBT)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy–Enhanced (CBT-E)
- Unified protocol (UP) for transdiagnostic treatment of emotional disorders
These approaches have been shown to help with conditions like anorexia, bulimia nervosa and other types of eating disorders.
