The Children’s Minnesota surgical team is trained in a wide variety of surgical specialties to care exclusively for the needs of children – infants, teens, young adults and even babies who are still in the womb. Surgical specialties include, but are not limited to:

General surgeryFor a range of surgical care, from appendectomies and hernia repairs to repair of complex birth defects and cancer surgery.

Cleft and craniofacial For conditions of the face and skull.

Fetal For congenital diseases and high-risk conditions before a baby is born. Through the Midwest Fetal Care Center, our survival outcomes are among the best in the country.

Gastrointestinal For conditions of the stomach, intestines and associated organs.

Gynecologic For conditions of the female reproductive organs.

Neurosurgery For conditions of the brain and the spinal cord.

Newborn For conditions in premature babies to infants up to one month old.
