Where your support goes
Your partnership helps families focus on what matters most — their child’s health and well-being, not fear, finances or logistical challenges.
Funds raised through the Children’s Minnesota Golf Benefit support Child and Family Services programs that reduce stress, strengthen coping skills and provide comfort during some of the most challenging moments a family can experience.
Because every child deserves exceptional care and every family deserves compassionate support.
How your support helps
These essential services are made possible through the generosity of donors and community partners like you.
- Child life specialists, music therapists and medical dog teams help children understand medical procedures and therapies through engaging, age-appropriate activities that reduce anxiety and promote healing. Last year, child life specialists supported more than 22,300 patient encounters, music therapists provided 9,931 therapeutic encounters and medical dog teams supported 1,148 patient interactions.
- Financial counselors, interpreters and social workers help families navigate questions related to care, communication, resources and support services. In the past year, 138,340 interpreter encounters ensured language was never a barrier to compassionate care.
- Sibling play areas and Star Studio, Children’s Minnesota’s in-house television channel, offer opportunities for creativity, connection and a welcome distraction from the stress of hospitalization. When one child is sick, siblings feel it too. Last year, 11,501 visits to Child Life Zones and play areas gave families space to play, cope and heal together, while 2,109 live calls to Star Studio helped patients feel connected and celebrated.
- Spiritual care and bereavement services provide support and encouragement to children and families facing fear, grief or loss.
- Welcome and Family Services staff connect families with programs, resources and amenities tailored to their unique needs throughout their care journey.
