Kohl's Cares and Children's Flu Prevention Project
Flu season is upon us, and Children's is dedicated to keeping your family healthy and safe this year. That's why we've teamed up with Kohl's Cares to provide area flu vaccine clinics, education and resources to help make flu prevention simple.
Influenza, commonly known as the flu, is a serious respiratory illness. Symptoms can include fever, cough, sore throat, muscle aches, fatigue, congestion, a runny nose and, in extreme cases, death. For simple steps you can take to prevent the flu in your family, watch this video.
Vaccination is the best way to prevent the flu. There are two kinds of flu vaccine, injectable (flu shot) or nasal spray (FluMisttm). Children's offers many opportunities for your child to get vaccinated. Click here to view locations of our primary care clinics as well as dates and times for upcoming flu vaccination clinics in your area, including clinics at several local Kohl's locations on Friday September 12 and Saturday, September 13.
