Child life internship
Children’s Minnesota offers a full-time child life specialist internship to an undergraduate student during their senior year.
Music therapy internship
We offer a six-month, full-time music therapy internship. Interns participate in individual and group music therapy sessions.
Social work internship
Children’s Minnesota offers social work internships to graduate students in their clinical practicum.
Social work internship: integrated behavioral health
The integrated behavioral health (IBH) internship provides a clinical experience in social work, while embedded in a pediatric primary care setting.
Summer nurse internship
Children’s Minnesota offers a Summer Nurse Internship for pre-licensure nursing students the summer between junior and senior year.

Pharmacy residency
Children’s offers residency program opportunities for first-year pharmacy residents.
Respiratory care residency
Children’s offers respiratory care residency opportunities working with neonatal and pediatric patients.
Fellowship programs
Pediatric Otolaryngology Research fellowship
Experience hands-on research and mentorship with the Jim Sidman Pediatric Otolaryngology Research Fellowship. Together, we can advance ENT research.
Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship
Our Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) fellowship program includes 9 fellows, with support from over 40 board certified PEM physicians.
ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship
Each year we offer an opportunity for advanced training in tertiary pediatric ENT to work alongside our doctors.
Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship
Children’s Minnesota offers a one-year ACGME-accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship through the University of Minnesota.
Pediatric and Outpatient Psychology fellowship
Children’s Minnesota’s Department of Psychological Services offers a pediatric psychology fellowship training program. There are three positions available for the one-year postdoctoral fellowship.
Job shadowing programs
Observer program
The Observer Program provides individual opportunities to observe Children’s staff, learn more about their field, and explore possible careers. This experience is entirely hands-off and is supervised by a professional.
