Thank you!

Thank you to those who supported the 2025 Star Gala, a cherished annual event. Together we raised an incredible $2.14 million for the child and family services at Children’s Minnesota.

Children’s Minnesota provides more than health care services

Our Child and Family Services program allows us to offer a wide variety of services and amenities designed to care for the whole family.

Children’s Minnesota provides developmentally supportive services and programs to help kids of all ages understand and better cope with medical care. They build on children’s strengths and skills to provide them with the best opportunity for health and well-being. Additionally, the health system focuses on the whole family, including the patient’s siblings, fostering a positive, supportive and collaborative care experience.

All these programs are provided at no cost to patient families, which is why philanthropy is critical to continuing the incredible care:

  • Child Life specialists and music therapists to help kids understand their medical care and minimize stress through role playing, guided imagery and other activities.
  • Interpreters help families navigate the health care system and provide answers and resources.
  • Sibling play areas, facility dogs, and the beloved in-house TV channel Star Studio provide a creative outlet and a break from some of the stress that comes with a hospital stay.
  • Welcome and family services staff, as well as dedicated volunteers, help connect families to the many services, resources and amenities at Children’s Minnesota.
  • Healing gardens, ethics consultations, spiritual care and bereavement services give families the emotional support they need during a difficult time.

These services and many more are part of the exceptional experiences we create for our patients, staff and community. All of which never show up on a bill. The funds we raise at Star Gala 2025 will continue to allow Children’s Minnesota to show up differently for kids and families in the community and beyond.
