In an effort to decrease notifications that disrupt your workflow, a new alerting approach, SmartZone, is being introduced.
You can now set your preferred Default View when you open a patient’s chart.
Pathology results will be released to MyChildren’s Portal 96 hours after final resulting in Cerner, allowing clinical teams the opportunity to discuss the results with the patient/family prior to their release.
The Children’s Application Center and Cerner icons have been updated. The Learn Cerner icon is no longer available and can be accessed through the Cerner icon.
As a part of the digital front door strategy, Children’s Minnesota is launching a new Cerner application called Referral Management (ARM) on April 30, 2024. Referral Management will streamline and enhance our internal processes of originating and receiving referral orders and requests as well as keeping patients within our Children’s Minnesota system of care.

Children’s of MN adopts coding and documentation guidelines from the AMA. We do not typically follow CMS (Medicare based) rules because Children’s is not a Medicare-based facility.
