Several IView changes are being implemented. Changes are being made to the Oxygen Therapy section in the ECMO band, the ADL section in the Pediatric Systems band, and a new reference link in the Interpreter Services section of the Pediatric Quick Chart band to access the Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Boards.
A new reference link to the Limited English Proficiency Communication (LEP) Boards will be available in education powerforms and IView.
Several IView changes are being implemented regarding Wound Ostomy consults, the Power Port field in a Dynamic Grouper, new chest tube documentation options, and new assumed pain reassessments documentation options.
A new Reset Navigator Bands icon will be available. This icon allows nursing staff to reset their IView I&O bands to their default navigator bands.
Interpreter Services documentation has been updated in all Intake and Admission PowerForms, Assessment PowerForms, and IView/I&O.
Self-harm assessments have been added to multiple navigator bands in IView for documentation.
Mental health specific documentation will now be included in IView. Bands that contain mental health specific documentation will be indicated by Mental Health or MH in the title.
Additional IView fields have been added to the Psychosocial Assessment and ADL Cares sections in preparation for the opening of the inpatient Mental Health unit.
The Humpty Dumpty Falls Assessment Scale (HDFS) has been updated. Questions have been added to increase accuracy.
As a part of the digital front door strategy, Children’s Minnesota is launching a new Cerner application called Referral Management (ARM) on April 30, 2024. Referral Management will streamline and enhance our internal processes of originating and receiving referral orders and requests as well as keeping patients within our Children’s Minnesota system of care.

Children’s of MN adopts coding and documentation guidelines from the AMA. We do not typically follow CMS (Medicare based) rules because Children’s is not a Medicare-based facility.
