Personal Biography

I earned my PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Children's Minnesota in Saint Paul, MN, and post-doctoral fellowship at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI. I have training and specialization in general child and adolescent clinical psychology as well as health psychology. My research interests broadly include the psychosocial impact of coping with a chronic illness, and symptom and pain dismissal experiences in childhood and adolescents. I have presented my research at several conferences including the Society for Pediatric Psychology Annual Conference, the International Association for the Study of Pain, and the Association for Women in Psychology Annual Conference. I have also published research articles in several peer-reviewed journals. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, family, and my dog, as well as exploring hiking trails, running, doing yoga, playing piano, and reading.
