Personal Biography

Melanie Niquette is a clinical social worker in the Teen Diabetic Clinic at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and English Literature from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire and Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan. Melanie has experience working with diverse populations in a variety of mental health settings including community-based, outpatient, inpatient, school-based, and day treatment providing individual, family, and group therapy services. She believes that it is important to take a person-centered approach to treat each person as a unique individual with their own experiences and stories to share. Melanie currently lives in Saint Paul with her husband and cat, Freya.
