Dr. Angela Erdrich is a Board Certified pediatrician who worked in rural Native American communities from 1997-2009 before starting her current practice with the Indian Health Board of Minneapolis. Dr. Erdrich attended Dartmouth Medical School (1990-94) and completed pediatric residency at Seattle Children's Hospital (1994-97). In 2007, Dr. Erdrich was honored as a community Health Champion by the Indian Health Service, a branch of the Federal Government's Department of Health and Human Services, for 10 years of health promotion in Reservation communities. Her health promotion achievements include 10 years of photography and local publications showcasing health success stories in rural American Indian communities and the initiation of hospital gardens in two Reservation communities. Dr. Erdrich is excited to be working in a vibrant neighborhood community alongside the dedicated staff at the Indian Health Board of Minneapolis. Her pediatric medical interests include: prevention of adult chronic disease (diabetes, heart disease, cancer), breastfeeding promotion, injury prevention, substance abuse resistance, nutrition and self determination of health. Dr. Erdrich is available for well-child/adolescent continuity care and physicals (Headstart, School, Sports) for children of all ages.
