Dr. Robert Tibesar on rare airway obstruction condition

Three-year-old Zoey was born with a rare airway disorder, Congenital High Airway Obstruction Syndrome (CHAOS). Dr. Robert Tibesar, a pediatric otolaryntologist, explained that this means Zoey has a thick web of cartilage and soft tissue that never opened up. Dr. Tibesar told KSTP that this condition is so rare, Children’s Minnesota may only see a case like this every five to 10 years.
