Children’s Minnesota and Capture receive Honorable Mention in Ragan’s Health Care PR and Marketing Awards for patient family video

Ragan award Honorable MentionChildren’s Minnesota and Capture recently received honorable mention in Ragan’s Health Care PR and Marketing Awards in the video category for the Star Gala Koch Family Video. Ragan’s award celebrates teams, organizations, consultants and agencies who have redefined the field with their groundbreaking work.

The video was developed for Children’s Star Gala and highlighted the story of the Koch family. Parents Nick and Briana shared the story of Aiden, their first son, who died of an extremely rare genetic disorder shortly after his first birthday. The Koch family gives generously to Children’s. Through interviews and footage of their family life now, the video explains how the genomics team at Children’s gave the family answers: both in diagnosing Aiden’s rare disorder and helping the family move forward with their plans for more children. The video shows a family deeply touched by the care they received at Children’s, hopeful for the future and always mindful of the child they lost.

“Children’s Minnesota and Capture set themselves apart from an outstanding field of applicants. Their work was exceptional and displayed their innovative strategies for achieving success,” said Brendan Gannon, Marketing Manager for Awards Programs at Ragan Communications.

About Children’s Minnesota

Children’s Minnesota is the seventh largest pediatric health system in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. An independent and not-for-profit system since 1924, Children’s serves kids throughout the Upper Midwest at two free-standing hospitals, 12 primary and specialty care clinics and six rehabilitation sites. Additionally, Children’s is Minnesota’s only Level I pediatric trauma center inside a hospital dedicated solely to children. Children’s maintains its longstanding commitment to the community to improve children’s health by providing high-quality, family-centered pediatric services and advancing those efforts through research and education. This work is made possible in large part by generous philanthropic and volunteer support from individuals and organizations throughout the state and region. An award-winning health system, Children’s received Magnet® recognition from The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and was verified as a Level I Children’s Surgery Center by the American College of Surgeons in 2018. Additionally, Children’s is regularly ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a top children’s hospital. Please visit childrensMN.org.
