Children’s Minnesota nurses honored with DAISY Award for nursing excellence

Congratulations to the three nurses who were honored with a DAISY Award for their above-and-beyond care at Children’s Minnesota. DAISY Award recipients personify Children’s Minnesota’s remarkable patient experiences and are recognized as outstanding role models in our nursing community. These nurses consistently demonstrate excellence through their compassionate care and clinical expertise.

The January 2020 DAISY Award recipients include:

  • Michael Aliperto, MS-HSA, BSN, RN, 5th floor St. Paul
  • Mihoko Vue, BSN, RN, 6th floor St. Paul
  • Samantha Aretz, BSN, RN, PICU Minneapolis

The DAISY Award is a nationwide program that rewards and celebrates the compassionate care and extraordinary clinical skill given by nurses. The award is given in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, whose family wanted to celebrate “extraordinary nurses everywhere who make an enormous difference in the lives of so many people.”
