There will be one physician working with your child. This physician will coordinate with other specialists when needed.

Kids first
Children’s Minnesota is the only standalone pediatric health care system in the state. Our focus is only on kids, and we know them best! Our hospitals and clinics are focused on making your child feel comfortable and safe, and our care teams are specially trained in pediatrics.
Multidisciplinary approach
We know that you may have a lot of specialists involved with the care of your child, and it can be overwhelming to schedule and coordinate all of the visits. Our focus on care coordination across the many specialists will streamline your care and reduce your scheduling burden.
Familiarity
We operate out of the Children’s Minnesota Specialty Center in Minneapolis and will work with your current providers for your visits.
Telemedicine
We have launched a telemedicine program to better serve our patients and families. This allows us to do some of your visits remotely and better serve the spina bifida community.

About Children’s Minnesota Spina Bifida Clinic
The Children’s Minnesota Spina Bifida Clinic brings together several specialty services to meet the complex needs of patients with spina bifida. The multidisciplinary clinic provides care to patients from across the upper Midwest from infancy through young adulthood.
Children with spina bifida have complex health needs impacting many body systems. To provide the best outcome for each child, we bring together specialists from Children’s Minnesota and the surrounding community to provide care in a collaborative, team approach.
