Children’s Minnesota recognized as a 2021 Community Partner by AchieveMpls

Children’s Minnesota is excited to share that we are recognized as a 2021 Community Partner by AchieveMpls!

Children’s Minnesota partners with local organizations like AchieveMpls with a mission to rally community support and deliver best-in-class programs to inspire and equip young people in Minneapolis and St. Paul for careers, college and life. We are proud to collaborate with and support AchieveMpls by providing internship opportunities for diverse high school and college students. In 2021, Children’s Minnesota provided internships to six high school students from AchieveMpls’ Step Up program and two students from its Achieve College Internship program.

“Our partnership with AchieveMpls allows us to create a health care pipeline of talent that reflects the rich diversity of our patient families,” said James Burroughs, vice president, chief equity and inclusion officer at Children’s Minnesota. “We are grateful to this partnership and to the many talented students that have contributed to our organization.”

The collaboration with AchieveMpls is part of Children’s Minnesota equity and inclusion internship program aiming to provide opportunities for diverse high school and college students to learn and engage in areas that they potentially see as a future career opportunity.
