Children’s Minnesota is thrilled to share a special video that showcases The Kid Experts® who advocated for the diverse communities we serve during the 2023 Minnesota legislative session.
In all, Children’s Minnesota experts weighed in on more than 100 bills and testified in more than 20 committee hearings. Many of the key issues our experts testified in favor of have since become state law; including the Trans Refuge Bill, lowering costs for chronic diseases, The CROWN Act, universal school meals and more.
During the 2023 legislative session, 18 experts from Children’s Minnesota testified, attended press conferences and/or bill signings.
