Daniel Wilke, surgical technologist, has been working at Children’s Minnesota for a little over a year now. He is sharing all his favorite things about working at Children’s Minnesota below.

What’s your position and how long have you been at Children’s Minnesota?

“I have been working at Children’s Minnesota as a surgical technologist for a little over a year now.”

Tell us why you like your job and position.

“I get to work in a fun and fast-paced working environment and help families get through difficult times in their lives.”

What do you like about working in this field/department?

“Working in surgery is fascinating to me, I love the fact that I can continue to learn and grow my skills in this profession with every new patient we treat.”

Why do you like working at Children’s Minnesota?

“Children’s Minnesota will always be close to me, not just as an employee but as a patient as well. When I was in grade school, I was diagnosed with brain cancer and was treated here at Children’s Minnesota. The medical professionals that we have here are amazing, and I am grateful to now be a part of this team. Children’s Minnesota has been like a second family to me, and I could not imagine myself working anywhere else.”
