Pamela Gigi Chawla, MD

Gigi Chawla, MD, pediatrician and hospitalist, is the senior medical director for the primary care division at Children’s Minnesota and previously served as chief of staff. She is a regular contributor to Minnesota Parent and serves as the expert for WCCO-TV’s “Ask A Pediatrician.”

Laurel Edinburgh, APRN, CNP

Lauren Edinburgh, APRN, CNP, is a nurse practitioner at the Midwest Children’s Resource Center at Children’s Minnesota. In this role she developed and implemented the Runaway Intervention Program, which assesses and treats runaway, sexually exploited teens. She is also interested in researching effective interventions to decrease the long-term effects of sexual abuse.

David Hirschman, MD, is the co-medical director of the Emergency Department and an emergency medicine physician at Children’s Minnesota. In this role he oversees the area’s only Level I pediatric trauma center in a pediatric hospital.

Mark Hudson, MD

Mark Hudson, MD, is the medical director of Midwest Children’s Resource Center at Children’s Minnesota. In this role he works with children who have been abused or neglected to provide care and help them return to a productive, hopeful future.

Meysam Kebriaei, MD

Meysam Kebriaei, MD, is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Children’s Minnesota. Dr. Kebriaei has published several peer-reviewed articles and is involved in ongoing research projects related to neurosurgery.

Anupam Kharbanda, MD

Anupam Kharbanda, MD, is the director of research for Emergency Services and the associate fellowship director for Pediatric Medicine at Children’s Minnesota. Dr. Kharbanda has published numerous articles and textbook chapters regarding pediatric appendicitis and trauma. He’s also nationally-recognized for his work on clinical pathways for the management of children in the emergency department.

She is a widely-recognized infectious diseases specialist and expert on vaccinations and immunizations. She has served as a source for the Associated Press, The New York Times, USA Today and more.
