Outcomes and Research

At Children’s, we focus on research and innovations that make a difference at the bedside. From improving day-to-day quality of life for children and teens, to developing new pain management approaches to adopting cutting-edge technologies, our research is completely kid- and family-focused.

Conditions and Services

The telltale sign of epilepsy is repeated seizures, which happen when abnormal electrical activity in the brain causes momentary changes in awareness, movement, speech, vision and behavior. Seizures can be partial (affecting only part of the brain and body) or generalized (involving the entire brain surface and body).

Epilepsy

Children’s Minnesota and Minnesota Epilepsy Group are designated a Level 4 epilepsy center, which means we offer the highest level of diagnosis and treatment options for children with epilepsy. The center is accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC).
