Pediatric ENT and facial plastic surgery fellowship

Our fellowship is recognized nationally by residents and teaching faculty as one of the top pediatric fellowships in the country, and our former fellows are now working in leading medical centers around the country. We are proud to contribute our knowledge and expertise towards the education of our country’s next generation of pediatric specialists.

The fellowship includes both Children’s Minnesota’s Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses along with University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital. The fellow participates in the following multi-disciplinary clinics: cleft and craniofacial, aerodigestive, vascular malformation, endocrine (thyroid/parathyroid), maternal-fetal medicine, hearing loss, ear shape, and 22q11.2.

In addition to participating in complex surgical cases and multi-disciplinary and tertiary clinics, the fellow oversees the service that includes: a second year and fourth year otolaryngology resident, pediatric and family medicine residents, and medical students.

The fellow is also involved in:

• Weekly Pediatric Surgical Case Conference
• Monthly Mock Oral Board Pediatric Conference
• Monthly Morbidity and Mortality (M&M) Conference
• Resident didactic lectures
• Cadaver lab airway dissection course

Participation in the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO)

The fellow participates in the ASPO Fellow bootcamp (with numerous Minnesota faculty participating as instructors), attends the annual ASPO meeting and fellow lecture series.

The fellow also participates in a research project that they design with mentorship from faculty and submit for presentation at the annual ASPO meeting.
