Our team is made up of several eating disorder experts

  • Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in mental health. A psychiatrist may prescribe medications for mental health diagnoses. When indicated, patients meet with a psychiatrist from our team. The psychiatrist will work with patients and families to plan your course of treatment.
  • Psychologists and social workers are experts in how the mind and our behaviors work. Patients may see a psychologist or social worker from our team for individual or group therapy. The therapist will also work with the rest of the team to form treatment goals.
  • Pediatric Hospitalists are medical doctors who work only in the hospital setting. They are specialists in providing medical care for children, adolescents, and young adults. If you or your child is inpatient, a hospitalist will see you every day for medical monitoring and help determine when you’re ready to go home.
  • Dietitians are nutrition professionals. In the hospital, a dietitian will plan meals and snacks based on theon specific needs of the patient. When indicated, dietitians are also available in our outpatient clinic to support patients .
  • Nurses are trained to help assist patients with their medical needs; they are present in the hospital day and night to care for you.

Our eating disorders team also partners with professionals from other fields as needed, including gastroenterology, neurology, cardiology, and other specialists to provide the most comprehensive treatment possible.
