Support our patients with cancer and blood disorders this September

It can be frightening to hear that a child has cancer or a blood disorder. But, that’s where we step in. The Kid Experts™ at Children’s Minnesota provide comprehensive and compassionate care, specialized just for kids.

Not only is your child in good hands at Children’s Minnesota, everyone who loves your child will be taken care of, too.

Why we are the cancer and blood disorders kid experts

Children’s Minnesota is a leader in treating cancer and blood disorders, and we’re known across the country for our high survival rates and our aggressive management of pain and treatment side effects — all for good reason. Consider these facts:

  • Children’s Minnesota is the largest pediatric cancer and blood disorders program in the upper Midwest, caring for 2,500 patients every year and a majority of kids in Minnesota.
  • Our cancer experts diagnose approximately 200 new patients ranging from infants to young to 29-year-olds each year. Our hematology specialists see approximately 1,200 new patients per year with a variety of blood disorders.
  • We have a multidisciplinary team of 100 members committed to treating children with cancer or a blood disorder.

When you give to Children’s Minnesota during our Shine Bright for Cancer Kids campaign in September, you are supporting our patients and their families. Here’s how:

Patients with cancer and blood disorders

When you give to Children’s Minnesota, we can provide patients in our hospitals everything from music therapy to nutrition services to end-of-chemo celebrations.

Patient families

With your help, we provide support for families in the form of social work, financial assistance, meals, transportation and more to help them through the hardest days of their lives.

We’re excited for you to shine bright for our cancer and blood disorder patients this September!
