Overview

Children’s Minnesota’s cardiovascular program provides comprehensive pediatric cardiovascular services – from routine care to advanced cardiac surgeries, from before birth and into adulthood. Our program treats the most pediatric cardiology patients in Minnesota and our outcomes are some of the best in the country. Our cardiovascular program is the only one in the region that is part of a health system dedicated exclusively to caring for children.

Children’s Minnesota and Mayo Clinic Children’s Center collaborate in the care of children with congenital heart disease and build on each organization’s passion for children as well as the complementary strengths of both programs. The Mayo Clinic – Children’s Minnesota Cardiovascular Collaborative is one of the largest and strongest pediatric cardiovascular collaborations in the country. The Mayo Clinic – Children’s Minnesota Cardiovascular Collaborative ranked as a Best Children’s Hospital for 2022-2023 by U.S. News & World Report in cardiology and heart surgery.

Children’s Minnesota offers a quick and secure method for sharing medical images and reports for consultation via Nuance PowerShare. Using this technology provides Children’s Minnesota providers timely access to images for critically ill patients and allows for more efficient and accurate consultations.

Fetal cardiology referrals

When concern for a fetal heart defect or other cardiovascular problem arises, our fetal cardiology team will partner with you to accurately diagnose and create an individualized treatment plan for your patient.
