Some Children’s Minnesota clinics re-opening walk-in care

It is important to have a place where families can walk in without an appointment when their kids don’t feel well, and Children’s Minnesota is here for you and your family!

We now have six clinics that offer walk-in care to help your child receive care for injury and illness or to get a COVID-19 test. A visit with a provider is required as part of the COVID-19 testing. Walk-in care is typically available during regular office hours. Check your clinic’s walk-in office hours here.

When to use Walk-In Care

Walk-in care is a good option for illness and injury that is not severe. Common reasons for walk-in care visits:

  • Colds.
  • Fever.
  • Vomiting and diarrhea.
  • Ear pain.
  • Rash.
  • Pink eye.

COVID-19 testing

Learn more about our COVID-19 tests for kids, with or without symptoms, at Children’s Minnesota at any of our 12 Children’s Minnesota primary care clinics. Remember: It is required that you visit with a provider as part of the COVID-19 testing.

Walk-in care is not available at all of our primary care locations. For the other locations, scheduled appointments must be made at all other primary care clinics.
