Update on wait times due to increase in respiratory illnesses

Children’s Minnesota’s emergency departments and walk-in clinics are experiencing extended wait times due to an increase of patients with RSV and other respiratory illnesses. Get more information to assess if your child should be seen in the ED, urgent care or treated at home.

The experts at Children’s Minnesota – Minneapolis clinic care for kids in all stages of childhood. Our pediatricians and nurse practitioners have the support of the whole Children’s Minnesota network of specialists and family resources. We offer general pediatric health care for children throughout their development from birth to young adulthood. Integrated behavioral health specialists also see patients on site at our clinic. Vaccinations available by appointment

COVID-19 vaccinations are available in clinic for children ages 6 months and up. Established patients can make an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccination only; new patients are required to have a visit with a provider in addition to receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.

Get tested at Children’s Minnesota – Minneapolis for all kids – with or without symptoms. A visit with a provider is required. Availability for COVID-19 testing, and the time it takes to get results, may vary. Learn more.

If you are looking for testing without a visit with a provider, there are many options available – you can visit your local retail pharmacy or find a local COVID-19 testing site through the Minnesota Department of Health.
