A better care experience with MyChart coming October 2026

On Oct. 3, 2026, Children’s Minnesota is moving our online health record from MyChildren’s to MyChart. This will give your family a faster, easier way to stay connected to your child’s health information. 

MyChart will be your new secure online health record at Children’s Minnesota. It will replace MyChildren’s and will put everything from test results to appointment scheduling in one convenient spot. 

What’s happening & when 

Between now and Sept. 21, here’s what’s happening and when. 

Messaging your care team 

Due to this transition, starting on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at 6 p.m., you will not be able to message your care team online in MyChildren’s or in MyChart. We apologize for the inconvenience. Starting on Oct. 3, you will be able to use your MyChart account to message your care team again.  

Between Sept. 19 and Oct. 3, we recommend calling your clinic to discuss any questions you may have about your child’s care.  

Scheduling an appointment 

• Starting on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m., you will not be able to schedule new appointments or cancel/reschedule current appointments, online through MyChildren’s. 
• Between Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. and Sept. 21: Please call your clinic to schedule new appointments or cancel/reschedule current appointments. 
• Starting on Sept. 21: You will be able to schedule new appointments or cancel/reschedule current appointments once you activate your MyChart account.

Accessing your child’s medical record 

• Between now and Sept. 21: Continue to use MyChildren’s to access your child’s medical record.  
• Starting Sept. 21: You will be able to activate your MyChart account and request access to your child’s medical record. 
• Oct. 3: MyChart will be available to access to your child’s medical record. You need to activate your MyChart account and request access to your child’s medical record. 
• For medical records from before Oct. 3: You can view these past visits, test results and other records in the MyChildren’s portal until March 2027. These records will not appear in MyChart.
