Media policy
In accordance with federal HIPAA regulations, information about a patient cannot be disclosed without the consent of the patient’s parent or guardian. Media may reach out to our team, and we will assist in obtaining the necessary consent on your behalf.
All on-site, phone or virtual interviews must be scheduled through the public relations team. We will make every effort to arrange interviews, but please note that patient care is our first priority.
To protect patient privacy, we require that any media visiting Children’s Minnesota hospitals or clinics be escorted by a member of our public relations team. Please review our visitor guidelines in advance of your visit.
When inside our facilities, we ask members of the media not to approach patient families or staff until a member of the media team has confirmed they have consented to be interviewed and photographed.
