Congratulations to Children’s Minnesota nurses for achieving a national standard for nurses holding advanced degrees. We're proud to announce that 80 percent of Children’s Minnesota nurses now hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing!

“I feel a little nervous when I talk about equity and inclusion because this is some of the most important work we can do for our patients and families, so we need to get it right,” said James Burroughs, chief equity and inclusion officer at Children’s Minnesota during his opening remarks at Grand Rounds on Feb. 6.

Congratulations to the three nurses who were honored with a DAISY Award for their above-and-beyond care at Children’s Minnesota.

The newly formed Children’s Minnesota Nurses of Color Employee Resource Group (NOC ERG) kicked off its first meeting on the St. Paul campus on Jan. 29. The NOC ERG, which now has more than 100 members, was created in the fall by a core group of nurses, leaders and the equity and inclusion team at Children’s Minnesota.

Children’s Minnesota physician Kris Ann Schultz, MD received the prestigious NIH/NCI R01-funding opportunity, entitled “Detecting DICER1: A global partnership to cure pediatric lung cancer,” which represents the first of its kind at Children’s.

Our goal is to create a standard inpatient discharge process that ensures families feel comfortable, involved and equipped to care for their child at home.

Minnesota Senator Tina Smith recently visited Children’s Minnesota to discuss issues that face families with kids suffering from childhood diabetes.

Children’s Minnesota cares for more pediatric heart patients than any other program in the state. That's why Canadian Pacific (CP) and the organization's community investment program, CP Has Heart, donated $10,000 to Children's heart failure heart transplant program.
