Pediatric cardiac MRIs

A cardiac MRI is a recommended option for patients who require analyses of dynamic cardiac flows, wall motion, ventricular volume, and ventricular function. Children’s Minnesota offers pediatric-trained radiologists who work in connection with cardiologists to the tests. Imaging expert and pediatric cardiologist, Kelly Gleason Han, MD is one of a handful of cardiologists in the U.S. with a specialty in cardiac imaging, earned through a two-year, advanced imaging fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Team members’ expertise and training means tests can be obtained quickly (reducing the need for children to be still for prolonged periods) and be performed using less radiation.
