Recognizing Mental Health Awareness month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. And, kids have been going through a lot during the COVID-19 pandemic. And as summer approaches and it appears we’re returning to some sense of normalcy, it’s important to check in with our kids. Dr. Sarah Jerstad, pediatric psychologist at Children’s Minnesota, is helping parents navigate these upcoming changes.

AAPI Heritage Month: I am Sri Lankan, hear me roar

Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month is celebrated during May. During this month, we recognize the histories, cultures and contributions of those who came to the United States, and the generations who have enriched our history along the way. As we highlight the importance of this observation, we are excited to introduce Dr. Asitha Jayawardena, staff physician at Children’s Minnesota’s Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Facial Plastic Clinic.
