Children’s Minnesota has the largest pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) in the upper Midwest and is the only free-standing children’s hospital in Minnesota with an ACS Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center. The PICU provides advanced care for children with a wide variety of life-threatening issues, such as severe infections, respiratory diseases, trauma, and complex post-operative care. Children’s PICU is recognized for providing expert care and consultation for children, 24/7.
