Eleven Children’s Minnesota nurses honored as “Outstanding Nurses” finalists

Children’s is proud to announce that 11 of our nurses have been named finalists in the 2019 Mpls.St.Paul Magazine “Outstanding Nurses” Awards. This year marks the eighth year of the Outstanding Nurses Awards, which honors nurses impacting their communities.

Nominations were assessed on an eight-point rubric that included: professionalism, interaction with patients and families, credentials and experience, initiative and commitment, impact on an organization, leadership, and an “it” factor exemplifying kindness, compassion, and empathy. Additional weight was given to those who received multiple nominations and to those nominated by their patients or their patients’ families.

Winners in all categories will be announced at a special awards ceremony on the evening of August 8, 2019, at the Edina Country Club. The full list of finalists is available here.
