MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL (Jan. 26, 2026) — Katie Kummer, MS, FACHE, director of business strategy and planning at Children’s Minnesota, has been elected to serve as the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) National Regent for the state of Minnesota for the 2026–2029 term. The ACHE is one of the most respected professional societies for health care leaders.

“Katie’s appointment is an important recognition of her leadership and her unwavering commitment to improving health care for children and families,” said Lauren Gilchrist, vice president, chief of staff at Children’s Minnesota. “The role of Regent is essential in guiding the future of the health care profession, and Katie will bring a strong Minnesota perspective to ACHE’s national work. We are incredibly proud to have her expertise and voice representing Children’s Minnesota at this level.”

As a Regent, Kummer will represent Minnesota as a liaison to ACHE’s Board of Governors and help shape the strategic direction of the organization and support the professional growth of health care leaders. She will also strengthen the connection between ACHE’s national leadership and Minnesota’s health care community — bringing forward insights from the region and championing leadership development that supports making health care safer and more accessible.

“It’s an honor to serve as ACHE National Regent for Minnesota. I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent our state’s incredible health care leaders and to help advance ACHE’s mission of developing and supporting leaders who are committed to improving health,” said Kummer. “I look forward to elevating the voices, experiences and perspectives of Minnesota’s health care community on a national stage.”

Kummer is an experienced health care leader with deep roots in the Minnesota health care community. Since 2021, she has served as a senior strategy leader at Children’s Minnesota, where her leadership has driven numerous strategic initiatives that advance organizational growth and excellence.
