MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL (July 20, 2026) — Children’s Minnesota today announced the promotion of Monica Schiller to senior vice president, service lines and chief ambulatory officer, effective July 18.
In this expanded role, Schiller joins the Children’s Minnesota executive leadership team and will continue reporting to John Harding, executive vice president and chief operating officer, as the organization strengthens its operational leadership structure across the system.
“Monica has consistently demonstrated the ability to bring teams together, clarify priorities and keep the needs of patients, families and staff at the center of operational decision-making,” said Harding. “Her leadership has been especially important across clinical service lines and ambulatory services, where coordination, access and reliability are essential to the experience of families receiving care at Children’s Minnesota.”
Schiller’s promotion reflects both her leadership and the strategic importance of service lines and ambulatory care to the future of Children’s Minnesota. Her expanded role will help better connect strategy and operations as the organization continues its work to improve access, quality, safety, patient and family experience, and operational stewardship.

Schiller has been in key leadership roles at Children’s Minnesota for 11 years, advancing operational priorities and strengthening the care experience for kids and families across the system. During her tenure with Children’s Minnesota, she has led the expansion of ambulatory services using a hub-and-spoke model to ensure families have access to care in communities where they live, led the development of a clinical service line model to advance and grow quaternary services and fostered a continuous improvement mindset that empowers teams to solve problems and incrementally improve care and service.
Prior to joining Children’s Minnesota, Schiller held operational leadership roles at Allina Health’s Abbott Northwestern Hospital and Park Nicollet/HealthPartners. She earned her MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis and her bachelor’s degree in communications, broadcasting, journalism and performing arts from Marquette University in Milwaukee.
